I'm meeting with a friend
and thinking, greedily thinking: friend
having already lost myself in
thinking nothing but: friend.

Is then a friend a misfortune?
Yes.
I must, must focus
on recalling that I exist.

Opening the mailbox,
hoping to find it empty,
dismayed because it is empty,
scared that I may have been abandoned already.

Entzug einer Vorstellung

Ihr Kopf in meinem Kopf geht fort.
Auf einer einsamen Insel 
könnte ich auch gut leben,
wenn ich mir ihr Lächeln vorstellen könnte.
Da ich es mir nicht vorstellen kann,
bin ich an jedem Ort allein.
Immer wieder
kann ich es mir nicht mehr vorstellen,
weil sie mich immer wieder verlässt,
betrügt,
verlässt.
Sie scheint mich zu lieben, 
aber dann zeigt sich, 
dass ich für sie nur eine lästige Nebenpflicht bin.
Warum 
verschwindet sie dann nicht endlich?!
